Description

Here I will give you some of the signs that you have sensitive skin, I myself have sensitive skin and it is a battle, but it is nice to know that I have sensitive skin so I know what I can to do make it better. So, you are probably here because you think you have sensitive skin, so keep reading and you might find out.

Your skin easily flushes

Redness on the skin is a very common sign that you might have sensitive skin, sensitivity can be genetic like rosacea or just a reaction to some ingredients, if you only have a reaction to a few ingredients it does not count as sensitive skin.

You´re prone to bumps and rashes

Frequent rashes and tiny red bumps are a sign of sensitive skin, to avoid this make sure to make a patch test on any new products, I would say do it on your hand, then wait 24 hours to see if you get a rash, if not it is safe for you to use it.

Beauty products sting or burn

Whether it´s a serum, moisturizer, cleanser, sunscreen, or a foundation your skin reacts in a bad way, with stinging and burning. People who have sensitive skin have a thinner skin barrier and that is why a product stings and burns easily. So, stick with very gentle products with no fragrance or anything like that.

You have dry patches

When you have sensitive skin you normally also tend to have dry skin, with dry patches, it is a form of eczema and this happens because the skin barrier is leaky and does not trap moisture well. so, make sure to use a really thick cream.

You´re sensitive to UV rays

You step out in the sun and the next thing you know you are fire red, or maybe you even get sun allergy like me. In this case, always wear a hat! And remember your SPF 50 and keep reapplying all day.

Fragrance and your skin are not a good mix

It smells nice and so but your skin hates it, it is a common trigger for those with sensitive skin, so fragrance-free is the way to go and also don´t think that natural scents will be okay essential oils will also be a trigger for your skin, so you have to go completely fragrance-free.

Your skin reacts to bad weather

Cold and windy days are the worst, they really bring out the sensitivity and make your skin flush right away. So, make sure to use some calming products on your skin.
