So how is what you eat, and drink related to your skin? For some, their diet is directly related to their skin and how It looks, if we eat good food with good indigents, such vegetables, fruits, lean proteins and fibers will just give our skin an overall healthy glowing skin. But your diet can also partially help get rid of acne, oily greasy food is ofc not good for you if you try to get rid of acne, but also processed sugar, alcohol, and dairy should be kept to a minimum. I on my own acne journey has tried to cut down or remove those things from my diet, however, it really never worked for me, because we are all different, I know a lot of people it worked for. However, I still try to not have too much of those things, also for the sake of my health.
But also keep in mind processed sugar, alcohol, and processed food will also make your skin age faster. I do want to point out that you should still enjoy your favorite foods once in a while, so life does not suck way too much.
Also avoid fatty food, even healthy food with high-fat content, such as avocado, fish, and olive oil. When it comes to sugar avoid any sugar that is not bound to fiber, for example, juice which can be healthy, is still something that is not bound to fiber, because when you press the fruit it loses the fiber. Also, avoid white flour. However, fear not you can still have everything you love, just cut down on it, everything in moderation.
I will say for your sake give it more than a week or a day, your skin does not magically get better suddenly, so have patience don´t stress about your skin, there is no miracle thing that can fix your skin, I strongly believe that diet and skincare hang together. Also, if you try to cut down on sugar fear not, you can still eat dark chocolate which is actually really good for your skin since it is packed with antioxidants, also nuts which are not salted, fried, or coated with anything is good as well, I especially really like almonds and walnuts.
Keep in mind although I said it did not help my skin, I still try to avoid having too much of those foods, because who knows maybe it does trigger my acne, however as far as I have observed it has nothing to say to me, but I still don´t want to trigger anything.
Also, make sure you have enough iron and zinc, so if you are lacking any vital nutrients, especially zink and iron, it can cause you to break out, you don´t have to go out and buy expensive supplements, you can just eat some spinach, if you are having dinner try to get 1 cup of cooked spinach sneaked into your dinner, it will do so you get the iron and the zinc you need. However, if you are not a fan of spinach you can always go for the supplements So how is what you eat, and drink related to your skin?
