Here are a few tricks I use to get rid of a swollen face in the morning, I tend to have a swollen face if I ate food with a lot of MSG in or foods high in sodium. I also do get swollen in the summer in general because it is so hot outside. So, here is what I do.
1. Keep a spoon in the freezer, so I always keep a spoon in my freezer in order to use it on my face when it is swollen, and it is a life savior and it does not damage your skin. If you use an ice cube directly on your face it can be damaging to your skin, you may have noticed how your fingers can stick to an ice cube, well that is not good and your facial skin which is sensitive should for sure not be exposed to that.
2. Keep your sheet mask in the fridge, so if you use a sheet mask, which I don´t really do that often, since I prefer other kinds of mask, but if you have a sheet mask keep it in the fridge so when your face is swollen you can use it, it works wonders, if you for some reason forgot to keep it in your fridge you can just take an ice cube and slowly move it around on your face on top of the face mask, and no this will not harm your skin since the sheet mask is a layer between your skin.
3. If you are a ramen lover but ramen bloats your face like crazy the next day, try to drink milk while or after eating ramen.
4. You can also keep some silicone patches in your freezer or fridge, it works exactly the same way as the spoon.
5. Massage your face while cleansing it, so massaging your face gently ofc, will help the blood flow in your skin and make the swelling go away faster, I personally really like to do this, however, make sure your face is wet and you can glide around smoothly so you don´t tuck on your skin.
Keep some eye mask in your fridge ready for use whenever you need them, so this is similar to the spoon trick, here this one does give you the benefit of serum for your under-eye area, personally I am not an
eye mask user, but this is what my mum prefers doing for when she has swollen under her eyes.
