I have always had dry skin and it has been a struggle, it truly is not easy to have dry skin, so if you have dry skin like me, let me help you out a bit because I have spent such a long researching what I can do to make my skin less dry, so with these tips for dry skin I do hope I can make things a bit easier for you so, you don´t have to spend as much time researching as I had to.
1. Don´t take a long shower, I recommend using a maximum of 15 minutes but preferably only 10 minutes because long showers dry out your skin.
2. Right after showering do your skincare routine, this will lock the moisture.
3. Anti-aging is no. sorry to say this but mostly anti-aging is a not, if you use some try to avoid things containing retinoids or AHA´s as these ingredients are considered to be drying and irritating. I did the mistake of trying to use retinol…. Bad idea really bad idea, I regret it so much.
4. Try taking fish oil pills. This is to make sure your skin is getting to the nourishment it needs. It Is proven that taking fish oil supplements can be soothing to dry skin.
5. Don´t forget your lips, it is important to use a lip balm because if you have dry skin your lips are probably dry as well
6. Remember to take care of your feet and hands as well, use a lotion on them, exfoliate them maybe ones a week, especially in the winter this is important.
Lastly, I recommend you consider seeing a dermatologist since a dermatologist will really be able to advise you what to do and how to treat your skin, keep in mind everyone has different skin.
